GOLDFISH

Inspired by Shirley Jackson’s exploration of women’s lives, insanity, and her use of houses as characters, GOLDFISH is the story of two women separated by time but bound by place.

Margot is a young woman eighty years dead – unable to move on to whatever is next and unsure why.

Alice is a college English teacher – rapidly losing her grasp on reality.

Their stories cross when Alice moves into her newly built house, constructed on the footprint of Margot’s former home.

Margot believes she is meant to save the still living woman from herself, but begins to understand perhaps she is meant to save others from Alice, instead.
